Nigerians still fear Boko Haram- UN

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have stated that contrary to President Muhammadu Buhari's declarations, Nigerians still live in fear on a daily basis due to the threat of terror organisation, Boko Haram, Naij reports.
The UNHCR said that despite claims by Buhari that Boko Haram troops were completely defeated, the war against the terror group was still not over as people living in affected areas still lived in fear.
“They have found similar patterns in these places of a high level of vulnerability among people displaced by Boko Haram with nearly every family affected by very worrying protection issues and that some of these people live in fear that the insurgency group could attack them again,” UNHCR spokesperson, William Spindler said.
He added that many victims left traumatised by Boko Haram and that they struggled to readjust to a normal life as they lacked proper aid and livelihoods.

The German government stated that the initiative was aimed at tackling the root cause of the displacement of refugees and speed up their integration 'One World No Hunger Green Innovation'.

Germany at the same time reaffirmed its commitment to stay engaged in the priority areas in of sustainable economic growth, Nigerian energy support programme and technical cooperation.
The Nigerian Army meanwhile claimed that it is getting closer to ending the Boko Haram terrorism in the Northeast going by successes recorded in recent operations,  Maj.-Gen. Lucky Irabor, has said.

The Army confirmed that since the September 27 capture of the areas, the army had consolidated its position by keeping the place safe.
